Spanning a three-year period, we documented a terraced villa resort nestled on the side of a steep hill, facing the magnificent volcano, Mt Agung. Privacy, tranquillity, maximum viewing potential and above all else, to be at one with the local simplicity of this seaweed farming village without injecting obvious western influences. We worked tirelessly from exterior to interior every step of the way. We covered everything from the entrance, restaurants, bars, pools, gym, steam room, day spa to the conference centre. It was an amazing project to be involved in. The beauty of working in this developing country was that labour was extremely cost effective! Anything I could dream the locals could make by hand to the exact detail I had sketched.
