Every 6 months, contemporary homewares brand importer, Bambis, release a new collection for their award winning S&P range. Launched in a small portion of their massive East Coburg showroom, our design brief was to create a dedicated backdrop to unveil the Autumn/Winter 2017 collection and steer the company towards a re-birth of their S&P brand in their showroom fit-out.
Vastly different to previous launches which focused purely on the merchandise, IDI transformed the customers viewing experience into a journey of discovery attached to an emotional response with an element of fun.
We covered a once stark white gloss entry wall with leafy lush greenery providing a teaser to the main event. We then invigorated the 100m2 showroom fit-out space by injecting masses of plant-life, timber and multi textured floor finishes to bring about a more welcoming ambience and sense of inspiration.
It was almost like creating a pop-up shop! Implementing transferable materials such as carpet tiles and modular furniture were key in creating this temporary space.
We were inspired to bring the outside in…and everyone knows how much I love “astro turf”!! Our tradesman laboured for hours cutting turf squares and fitting them perfectly to the carpet grid which was by no means a random pattern at all!!
The new approach has been a massive success with over 200+ viewings so far. Numerous compliments and substantial feedback that individual shop owners are taking our base design approach into their own stores!
